Introduction
Oriental fiber zipcord fiber optic patch cable is a duplex cable in figure 8 structure. First of all, a tight buffer fiber is placed in the center. Then the fiber is wrapped by a layer of aramid yarn as strength member. Finally, the cable is finished with PVC or LSZH jacket in figure 8 structure.
The cable core is filled with the filling compound to protect it from water ingress, over which a thin PE inner sheath is applied. After the PSP is longitudinally applied over the inner sheath, the cable is completed with a PE outer sheath.
